Our Kids Travel Too is a branch of Gleeful Travel Services started in 2018 and has partnered with K. Rochelle Travels. This partnership is in the BEST interest of the kids and the parents to whom we render services. Why? Because we cover the East Coast to the West Coast and everything in between. Following the decline in cases of the covid-19 pandemic, we realized that opportunities present themselves that aren't utilized by parents for their children. One of those opportunities is the ability to broaden their horizons via travel. Our kids deserve the opportunity to see new sights, experience so much more than their community surroundings, hands-on discoveries and more. And that is our purpose at "Our Kids Travel Too", whether domestic travel or international, let's make our children as diverse as the world around them!!
When the daughter of the owner of Gleeful Travel had her 4th birthday party, which included ponies, in one of the City parks where they reside and the neighborhood kids came to ride the ponies, it hit her that something so normal to her was something major to the children. Upon reflecting on her own childhood experiences, she realized that children need to travel too. Parents need breaks and vacation, which often don't include taking the kids. But kids need vacations too. Vacations to see other things, taste different cuisine, learn about other cultures and to just see the world around them. Land or sea, domestic or international, we owe it to our present and future - the kids.
Hello, my name is Erika Glee Funchess. I have been a certified Travel Specialist for the past 4 years and prior to that a Wedding Planner & Consultant, which I still am doing. Having worked with persons with special needs, physical and/or mental disabilities, I've seen first-hand how important inclusion is and the need for society to do better. I live in the inner city with my husband, daughter and two dogs. We enjoy traveling and now that our youngest is old enough, we look forward to letting her explore the world of travel too!!
As a child to started traveling for the summers to Boston around the age of 4 to see my Grandpop. At that time, children could fly unaccompanied by an adult. Oh, how I loved those "wings" from Eastern Airlines. Traveling as a child to various States to see my Aunts and Uncles graduate from their prospective colleges or to see my great grandmother in Ohio. As an adult to take cruises and travel work and "play", the freedom of it all.
